Invoices for shipments outside the EU
For shipments outside the EU, a customs invoice applies.
- In most cases, the customs invoice is transmitted electronically (paperless) to the courier.
- As a result, no paper invoice is included in the shipment box.
- If you need a copy of the customs invoice, you can request it from the courier or the customs broker handling the clearance.
Courier-specific notes:
- UPS: The invoice is not available on the UPS website.
- DHL: A copy of the invoice is available via the DHL billing site (access requires a DHL account).
Paperless invoice option
A paperless invoice can be selected when the customer does not want the end-user to see the invoice or the original amount, while still allowing customs to access the required information.
-
When “Paperless invoice” is enabled in the customer profile:
- Customs authorities can view the invoice.
- The end-user cannot see the invoice.
