A STEP file with multiple bodies is not always interpreted in the same way.
It depends on how the file was created and also on how the file is imported into our system.
In some cases, multiple bodies in one STEP file may be treated as one object. In other cases, they may be interpreted as multiple separate objects.
In most cases, if the file is uploaded as a single positioned part but actually contains several separate pieces, it will not pass our checks and the file analysis will indicated “contains multiple shells “ .
So unfortunately, there is no single definitive answer — the result depends on the file structure and import behavior.
