Update on U.S. Tariffs
In October 2025, the United States introduced additional tariffs of 50% on certain imported goods, on top of the standard import duties already in effect. These increased charges significantly affected the overall cost of importing such products.
On February 20, 2026, the United States Supreme Court ruled that the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) does not authorize the emergency tariffs imposed in 2025.
Given the evolving legal and regulatory landscape, tariff treatment may change further. We therefore strongly recommend verifying the latest applicable measures with your customs broker or the relevant U.S. customs authorities before importation.
Import Duties and HS Codes
Import duties are taxes imposed by governments on goods entering a country. Harmonized System (HS) codes are an internationally standardized product classification system used during customs processing. Customs authorities rely on HS codes to determine the applicable duties, taxes, and fees for imported goods.
HS codes generally consist of six digits, although individual countries may extend them for more detailed product classifications. You can identify the appropriate HS code for your product by using online resources such as Access2Markets or by consulting a customs representative.
Proposed HS Codes for U.S. Imports
Below, we provide suggested HS codes for your reference. Please note that these codes are for informational purposes only, and it remains the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the correct HS code is used during import clearance. We recommend confirming the classification with your customs broker and providing the necessary instructions accordingly.
Proper classification and management of HS codes can help ensure smoother customs clearance and reduce the risk of unnecessary delays, additional charges, or penalties.
