What level of transparency will I achieve with TuskXC2700T?

The level of transparency of TuskXC2700T varies between translucent to water clear depending on the chosen finish: Basic Finish, Technical Transparent and Cosmetic Transparent. The material itself has a slightly bluish tinge which becomes more noticeable the greater the thickness of the model.

Basic Finish

With the Basic finish the transparency level of your part will be translucent. After printing, the support material is removed. Support marks, building layers, and some bubbles will still be visible.

Technical Transparent

With a technical transparent finish the transparency of your part will not be 100% water clear but somewhere between translucent and water clear. After printing the support material is removed, and the support marks are removed by sanding. Then your part is then cured (hardened under UV light) and transparent paint (varnish) is applied on all reachable surfaces. The varnish will protect your model from dust and slow down the discoloration process. Please take note that, with this technical finish, building layers and some bubbles will still be visible.

Cosmetic Transparent

With a Cosmetic transparent finish the transparency of your part will be 100% water clear. After printing, the support material is removed, and your whole part is sanded. Your part is then cured (hardened under UV light) and transparent paint (varnish) is applied on all reachable surfaces. The varnish will protect your model from dust and slow down the discoloration process. With this finish, building layers will not be visible.

Visibility of building layers

Please note that the visibility of the layers strongly depends on the shape or the design of the model. For instance, on a curved surface, layers will be much more visible, see the following two example pictures:
